Coach Patrick "Coach P" Teruel

From rolling on basement mats to building one of Brampton’s most respected academies, Coach P has spent the last two decades living and breathing Jiu-Jitsu — not just to compete, but to lead, coach, and build a community that lasts.

He’s a 2x Masters World Champion (2018, 2023), a medalist at IBJJF Pans and Europeans, and a multiple-time Open champion — but his proudest role is developing athletes from white belt to world-class. As the Canadian Jr. National Team Head Coach (2023–24), Coach P is trusted to guide the next generation on the biggest stages.

But beyond the medals, what sets him apart is how he teaches. Coach P is known for systemizing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a way that’s organized, scalable, and effective — for every age and stage. His passion lies in helping people build confidence, handle pressure, and become coachable in every area of life.
